Work safely or don’t work at all: STOP – THINK – GO!

I prepare my work safely

• I have the training, qualifications, skills, and authorization to perform my job safely.
• I always carry out a Last Minute Risk Analysis (LMRA).
• I never work under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that affects my reaction time.

Wear the required PPE

• I always use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• I use my PPE correctly and as intended.
• I check my PPE before use to ensure it is functional and undamaged.

Take action – don’t walk by

• I address others when I see unsafe behaviour, and I accept feedback myself.
• I immediately resolve any dangerous situation.
• I report unsafe situations to my supervisor.

Work safely at height

• I work at height only according to the given instructions.
• I protect myself against falls.
• In a cherry picker or MEWP, I always wear a fall-arrest harness.
• I never modify scaffolds or guardrails unless I am authorized to do so.

Safe lifting

• I never walk under suspended loads.
• I only use approved and inspected lifting equipment.
• I never perform lifting movements over colleagues.
• I know the weight and centre of gravity of the load.
• I have the proper training to perform lifting operations.

Work safely with gases

• I use gases according to the provided instructions.
• I report any gas smell or gas leak immediately.
• I check the pipelines before starting my job.
• I close the gas supply as soon as my work is finished.

Work safely with electrical installations and machines

• I work only on electrical installations for which I am authorized.
• I use only safe and inspected tools and materials.
• I immediately report any damaged tools and ensure they are taken out of use.

Follow the rules for safe internal traffic

• I use the designated pedestrian walkways.
• I make eye contact with drivers and crane operators (you see me, I see you).
• When driving, I always wear my seatbelt.
• I respect the speed limit and adjust my speed to the conditions.
